Making a better living
as a market gardener
while respecting the living, it's possible.
Another way is possible
We are Baptiste Saulnier and Vanessa Correa, committed farmers and entrepreneurs, and we created Cultive en 2022 convinced of the urgent need to reinvent and build together the agricultural model we want to see tomorrow.
As a company with a mission, Cultive tackles 4 key issues in the sector:
generational renewal in the face of the massive retirement of French farmers between now and 2030
the sustainability of market garden farms, with an estimated 60% of market gardeners forced to give up their activity within 4-5 years, for lack of a viable economic model
the growing number of NIMAs (people from non-agricultural backgrounds) in the farming world, with specific needs in terms of training and support for setting up in business
theimpact of climate change on farming practices and the need to accelerate the agro-ecological transition
Our mission
To train, equip, install and support all market gardeners wishing to work on organic farms that are on a human scale, profitable and a good place to live.

The Cultive team
Vanessa has over 15 years' experience in agroecology in Colombia, the United States, Israel and France, where she trained and worked in training, consulting and agricultural production. In 2020 and 2021, she will be working as a market gardener at Jardins potagers de Chambord. In 2022, she co-founded Cultive and ran "Une ferme du Perche" for 1 year alongside the manager, before being promoted and appointed Chevalier de l'Ordre du mérite agricole.
A former top-level field field hockey athlete and self-taught restaurateur, Baptiste went on to found several restaurants in Paris. He changed his life in 2015 to become a farmer, training at the Bec Hellouin farm with Eliot Coleman and Jean-Martin Fortier. From 2019 to the end of 2021, he designs and pilots the Jardins potagers de Chambord. In 2022, he co-founds Cultive and accompanies the 1st customers before being promoted and named Chevalier de l'Ordre du mérite agricole.
